At Cedar Creek Cabin Rentals in Helen GA, we are frequently contacted by folks who are looking for the right place to host a family reunion. It might be a reunion, Mom’s 60th birthday, a place to gather for a wedding nearby, or just a big family vacation. We have the best options for group bookings and cabin rentals in Helen GA, with over 25 cabins on one large private property, giving you privacy and space, but a short walk to get the family together at a big fire pit.
I can tell you all about our options, but I thought I would share this recent letter I received from a guest who has rented from us for years, and hosted her extended family in several Cedar Creek cabins last summer. Her name is Cindy, and here is her story:
Dear Tom,
As you know, I have rented from you for several years when I come up to fly fish the Soque River. I usually rent Tranquility 2 but I love all the cabins I have stayed in. I wanted to write and let you know what a great time my family had a few months ago when we did a group rental for a family vacation at your cabins.
We are a smaller, tight-knit family, consisting of 4 groups, which I thought would work out well for hosting our reunion at Cedar Creek. We rented Tranquility Two as our ‘base camp’, the group meeting place where mom and dad set up and had room for the grandkids to sleep over downstairs in their own pods (great for late-night gaming). Other families stayed in Tranquility One, Sky’s the Limit Treehouse and Oasis. Having the cabins close to one another on the one large property was great, we were a 2-minute walk to get to each other’s cabins. It gave us an easy way to get together, and also plenty of privacy and the opportunity to ‘get away’ from the larger group when we wanted to (I know you know what I mean lol).Marvel Falls Treehouse
The whole thing worked out perfectly – one cabin family cooked breakfast each morning, and everyone would meet up and make plans for the day – some going into Helen to shop, some hiking, some to a wine tour, and the kids to the Alpine coaster and tubing the Chattahoochee (or as we learned it’s called  Shootin’ the Hooch!). One family even went geocaching to find some new treasure spots, it was a blast. In the evening we had a group dinner and fire pit time – S’mores, a favorite beverage, and lots of fun just hanging out together. One rainy afternoon we gathered at Tranquility 2 and played card and board games all afternoon – it’s really nice that many of the cabins have games and cards and most have a pool table. I’m pretty sure someone was napping in a cabin somewhere with the rain on their metal roof making a nice backdrop, maybe more than one someone! The whole visit was relaxed, and there were lots of opportunities to catch up and have a special moment with a sister or a great-nephew we hadn’t seen in a while.
On the last morning, there were big hard hugs, trading leftover food based on cooler capacity, and driving home with warm memories and smiles. Everyone wants to do it again.
I know you care about guests having a wonderful experience when they stay with you, Tom, and that’s why I wanted to share this with you. All your hard work building and running this business pays off for families like ours, and I just want to thank you. I hope other families take the opportunity to enjoy similar good times at this special place to make long-lasting memories with those you love.
All the Best,
Cindy G.
