You can park your car at the parking lot and walk the easy 0.4-mile trail to the waterfall. However, if you want to conquer a tougher hiking trail, try the Smith Creek Trail. You'll need to visit the Unicoi State Park and then hike the 4.6-mile trail to Anna Ruby Falls.

Bring some money when you visit the twin waterfalls, since it costs $2 per person. Make a day out of it and bring a picnic lunch, a charged battery for your camera, and comfortable shoes.

Explore A Doll Hospital

If you grew up loving the Cabbage Patch Kids, you’ll love the adorable Babyland General Hospital, the birthplace of the famous doll. It’s not just a doll factory, but a little hospital with little doll babies growing in a cabbage field, newborns in a nursery, and a doting staff who give adoption consultations.

You’ll learn about the history of the Cabbage Patch Kids, all the way from their humble beginnings in the Appalachian Mountains. These dolls were created using the quilting skills that were (and still are) part of the culture of the area. Every doll is hand-stitched, so every creation is unique.
