Helen GA Oktoberfest

If you think it is early to be talking about Oktoberfest in Helen, you may miss out.  Many cabin companies are already booking out for the weekends of this fabulous North Georgia Cabin Rentals event.  Helen, GA is known for having the longest running Oktoberfest in the country, spanning about 8 weeks.

There are many reasons why this time of year is so popular.  One- The fall foliage has absolutely got to be at the top.  It is so beautiful that time of year. Many come up for the leaf change alone.  Two-the weather. Are you like me and you are already getting tired of the heat here in the southeast? The term balmy is often used and the cooler temperatures are so welcomed come late September.

And the third-The Fun. Oktoberfest Helen GA is known for having the natural beauty and the cool temperatures,  and with that combination, folks get in a great mood.  Of course the next step is where to have fun.  Here is more info on the event.

Oktoberfest Helen GAYes, people really do dress up las shown in the photo and get into the moment.  The streets of Helen, GA are nutty and there are parades galore and people literally dancing in the streets.

Being in the accommodations side, we can tell you that all the North Georgia Cabin Rentals that time of year are nearly impossible to get, so if you are coming up, book your cabin early.  You will be very pleased you did, but be aware, your friends are going to hit you up to come along.

There are a few little tips that may help your stay, like how to avoid the traffic getting into town.  This guide will help you do just that.

I want to take a weekend trip to Helen this summer. My husband and I have 2 daughters, 11 and 13; we want to go tubing and try some German food. Does anyone recommend a good German Restaurant?
